It does work great as a "system" NO question. I'm not gonna use it if it's not in front of me. i tend to think it's bigger in it, but I don't know diddly.but perhaps I also know that I am reacting to that they are out of sight, out of mind. I just (and could be just me) tend to forget about all it can do because of failed branding and naming (my memory and idiocy), and I have no idea how hard it would be to break some/all of these elements out, (i imagine a huge pita because they are not idiots).Īnd I freely admit I am no coder, and I don't know how big the cpu footprint of these things would be outside of guitar rig vs being IN them. It is the last thing I use for guitar generally, but great for so so many things. I think I have been saying this for almost a decade around here, calling it "NativeRaK" or whatever NI clever speak they would use… I have spoken to them about it, and I am sure a lot of people have and agree. ( and also agree that the one thing it kinda lets me down on is GUITAR sounds.)īUT, I think they are leaving points on the field, and stashing away some tremendous tools that could be rebranded/ rethought/ and still keep the product as what it is as well. and the modifiers etc give it so much more power without question… I wouldn't want that to go away at all. traktors12, the mouth, etc… there are more.Īnd more importantly there are a lot of great “modules” that would be better served (at least to me) outside the package….psychdelay, blah blah blah etc… but I get why it started in the package and how it all works together all holistically in a great way. In fact the only thing that guitar rig does badly, is guitar amps haha.Īs for NIs effects, i can only reiterate, terrible company, best products, their effects are outstanding and ignored a lot.no, there are more tools I would definitely use more often if they weren't beholden (or hidden to my dumb forgetful ass ((and that's on me:face palm:!)). It's only Reflektor that is still built in to Guitar Rig, all the others are standalone or Reaktor, then again, if you own Guitar rig i don't really see the issue in using them in guitar rig, especially when you add in all the modulation options that guitar rig offers ? I found the sound on sound article on "Native Instruments Premium Tube Series" to be quite good. There's a lot of great reviews online, from people a lot more knowledgeable than me. However if you want effects plug ins, as opposed to vsti's, then there may be better options. If you get it for the instruments, the effects will be a nice bonus and I'll bet you'll find some you like a lot.

I feel like the effects are a nice bonus with Komplate, but the instruments are the reason to buy it. I like what I've tried, nothing to shake a stick at, but not anything that blew me away.

The passive eq is awesome, a lot of fun to just twist the knobs and get a good sound. They have a good sound, and I like the controls.

I like rc48, and rc24 a lot but not quite as much. However, recently I was sitting around and thinking about buying a reverb vst, and I was like " I haven't even checked out what Komplete came with, I'm gonna do that before I drop any cash." So for my next mix I tired out rc24, rc48, and passive eq.įor reference my favorite reverb I've tried so far is Epic Verb by Variety of Sound, but I have trouble getting it to run on my current system. I really got it for the synths and kontakt packs, and have been mixing with the effects I was already used to (so not the ones from Komplete). I got komplete 10 ultimate fairly recently.
